| Where is a cheap online or catalog place to buy WHITE scrubs / nursing uniforms? I am taking a nursing aide class in the fall. I have to have solid white scrubs. I already have a solid white pair of new shoes(prof. cheerleading shoes, they can take a beating, and help to reduce chafing and sores). Where can I find a super cheap place that sells solid white scrubs?? Also any advice on how to get through this training and prep for the job at hand? I am a really fast learner. This is not a permanent profession for me, I just need a job that places are demanding and pay alright(at least better than the fast food places and you have to work just as hard). I am not a mean person. The way I look at things are like this: it's my job so I have to do it!, Even though I'm doing this for the money that doesn't mean I'm going to be MEAN to the patients. I want to respect them and know I am there to help( I know some are crazy but that's ok). Cleaning up crap is not a job anyone truly likes all the time there, but it's a job and somebody's got to do it. |

| I want to take my guy out of kindergarten.? I have 2 boys in the same school.....one in K and the other in 4th. My youngest was never in any daycare or pre-k, but yet he still does not know his ABC's or even how to count to 10 yet. School has been in now for over 2 months. When I registered him, his teacher looked shocked and over whelmed to hear that I stayed home with him. She did not like that at all. My older boy says that he still has to walk him to class every morning cause he refuses to walk without him. I just got a call this morning from the school nurse saying my little one was complaining of a stomach ache? I got to school and there was my oldest again with him. Come to find out.....he just wanted to come home cause he was uncomfortable. As I talked him into staying, my oldest told me that the lunch lady yelled at my youngest for not wanting to eat breakfast, and that's when he started crying and saying his stomach was hurting. Then, next thing I know...the office gave my oldest a tardy note and sent him to class. I am worried that my little one has a poor teacher and I feel she is not teaching him like should. I believe he is getting over looked. I also feel that both my boys are being mistreated by the staff. My youngest got yelled at, he was scared...my oldest got a tardy even though he was at school on time...just never made it to the class room cause he was trying to comfort his little brother. Other issues are going on to. The school bus is alway late in the mornings. I rarely see the same driver in one week. both boys tell me that they have to take their breakfast to class at least twice a week cause the cafeteria is closing up when the bus arrives. Then there is the uniform issue....the office gave them uniform tops that are too big. The shirts are down their knees but yet they say they are out. How is this possible? They are ordered out of a catalog. My oldest is humiliated and comes home angry, and my youngest is way behind in class and dreads going to class. If I had the chance...I would love to put my younger one in a pre-k program but I dont think that is allowed as it is the law to make your guys go to school. |
| i'm the mother of 5 guys. i stayed at home with all of them. however, by the time they go to school they know how to count to 100, know their abc's etc. i guess i don't understand as a mother why you never taught your son this in the first place. it is also not your older sons responsibility to take care of his brother in school. have your younger son take an IEP test and see how far he's behind and why. he could be having learning problems. your younger son sounds like he has many issues that should have been addressed before now. i also don't think the teacher could have cared less you stayed home. it's that your younger son is so far behind the other guyren i'm sure she wonders what you did all that time with him to help prepare him for kindergarten. i taught all my guys these things even though i stayed home. i'm sorry, but guys know these things usually by 2-3 years old. by 5 he should know them whether in school or not. have him evaluated asap. especially if he's not getting it now still. there is still the option of holding him back a year. but it also sounds like some social skills need adressing. |
