| Why does everyone consider college to be a mindless girls gone wild orgy when it's really the opposite? Let me start off by saying I'm not one of those ugly, sex-starved men who go to a party and drool on any girls leg in hope of sex. Since I've been in college, I've just scoped things out and experienced most of the things that've happened from sort-of a distance. And one thing I've definetly noticed is that girls in college are all either taken (and INEXPLICABLY devoted, even after only 3 months of dating), or prudish/hypocritical to the max. And I'm saying that with the up-most sugarcoating. I'm not looking for a relationship, and I established that long before I went off to college. I already had way more than my share of drama from all my high school relationships, and I just wanted to take a break from all that heartache, and atleast have some fun before I have to settle down and get married later in life. I would hate to devote myself to someone in the confines of a marriage, only to ultimately wonder 'what could have been' if I didn't get married so quickly. I figured I would atleast have a CHANCE to experience some things once i came to college, the place that the media curses as "The place for disgusting teenage promiscuity that needs to stop", and is constantly putting girls down about. Out of all the girls down the hall, out of all sixteen of them, only one is single. We're friends an everything, and she (very openly) told me about how she hooked up with a guy here a few weeks ago, and I figured "well maybe shes not so prudish, and shes actually worth getting to know better". She eventually wanted to date, and I kindly told her I wasn't looking for a relationship right now. But I asked if she ever wanted to just "hang out", or "be casual", to which she immediately said "Ummmm I'm not like that". And I'm thinking to myself "WTF????? Did you just hear yourself???" Out of this whole college campus (which isn't small might I add, I go to a pretty well known, big-populated state college that I just don't want to name for privacy purposes), I have not met one "party-crazed, drunk college wild girl" that the media/"women's rights" hates, and guys dream about.
